Welcome to the site. We have tried to give you discerning folk, who have sought us out, everything you might want to know about the creation of 'Sink or Swim' and where you can see it.
We have been on tour for the past four weeks (feb-march 2013)and we hope to take to the high seas again in the summer of 2014. We have been very pleased with the critical and audience response to the show as we created it to celebrate our 15th birthday. 'Sink or Swim' is the companies 20th original show, and we are pleased to be working with, The Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse theatre and The Lowry, whose support we gratefully appreciate. We are also pleased by the financial support of Arts council England and The Granada foundation. 'Spike has created something unique, fun and infectiously entertaining'
Vicky Anderson - Made up on Stage The 18th century bedlam houses are full and so the ‘ships of fools’ are born. En-route to America our hapless victims find themselves running for the lifeboats when they come under attack and their ship - The Sea Venture - is sunk. As the icy dawn breaks and with only a single oar they find themselves alone, and going around in circles. Our brave souls battle the elements, each other and a leaking lifeboat. Based in fact and with a heavy dose of fiction ‘Sink or Swim’ is an insanely comic tale of tales and three men’s maddening struggle’s at sea.
'an entertaining dose of silliness that is more than worth a watch'
Chris High - The Stage Featuring an original music score, clown and bold storytelling. Sink or Swim is the company’s 20th original show, Spike has been touring comedy theatre across the UK and Europe since 1997.
